Shop Iowa Train the Trainer Webinar

Now, more than ever, people across our great state are looking for ways to support local businesses. Shop Iowa is a retail marketplace website that brings together brick and mortar retail businesses from across the state into one online marketplace. Customers can browse and buy from many Iowa businesses, and choose local pickup from a nearby business, or have items shipped directly to their doorstep from a business they haven’t yet had the chance to visit. Every purchase on this site goes back directly to a local business in Iowa.

This training is being provided as a train-the-trainer approach for Chambers of Commerce that are interested in helping businesses in their communities to sell on the platform. It will cover eligibility requirements for businesses, processes for getting a business started on the platform, and frequently asked questions related to online selling or the platform itself.

Shop Iowa is brought to you by the Iowa Economic Development Authority enabling eligible businesses to have a shop on the site for free through June 2021. Shop Iowa is managed by Member Marketplace Inc, which also runs the Shop Where I Live platforms in local Iowa communities.
